5 Painless Ways to Prepare For Your Post Holiday Fitness Goals: Part 3

Now that you are filling your mind with motivation and you have found your support system it's time to set some goals. I know you may be thinking, "Crysti...New Years Day is the time to set goals." I hear you, but here's the thing:

3- Set Your Goals

By setting your goals now you are turning the invisible into visible and that is the first step to making it a reality. Find some time to sit down and write out your goals health and fitness goals. Make a three month, six month and one year goal or whatever your goal setting style is. Get really clear on who you are going to be, not just what you are going to do. Be careful to set goals that you know are realistic for you. If you don't workout at all right now, the goal to go to the gym five days a week may not be realistic and may burn you out by the end of January. Set goals that work with your life and that you can get excited about. Write them down and put them somewhere that you will see them every day. Even though you aren't actually starting until after the holidays, you are prepping you mind. You are making visible the once invisible and when it's visible, it's attainable. As a bonus, share these goals with your support system and get all pumped up with them about this better version of yourself that you can see now just around the corner.

It's been said that a man without a vision for the future always returns to the past. When it comes to reaching your goals this new year, it's so important to have that vision, those goals visible to you so that you don't fall back into the past version of yourself. Set your goals, see them, focus on them all month. Get excited about being the badass, healthy, driven person that you are going to be. Then, wake up on January 1st prepared, excited and with a clear vision of exactly what this year will be for you.
