5 Painless Ways to Prepare For Your Post Holiday Fitness Goals: Part 1

How many times have you heard people say, “I will start my diet after the holidays.” Have you said it yourself? There’s nothing wrong with waiting until the holidays are over to dive into health and fitness, but what a lot of people don’t consider is that there are things that they could be doing right now to begin the process of getting healthy without going to the gym or cutting back on any of those delicious holiday goodies. Over the next five days I am going to give you five different things you can do this month to set yourself up to be total successful in your fitness goals in the New Year.

1- Fill Your Mind With Motivation

Read, or if you don’t like to read or don’t have a lot of time, you can use Audible. Not having time to listen to audiobooksis a lousy excuse. We all have time to listen. It could be in the car, in the shower, while we are making dinner, or any other time our ears are free. If you can listen to music, you can listen to an audiobook. A couple of books that I recommend are You Are a Badass and The Compound Effect, but you could choose anything that speaks to you. Find something that you know will motivate you to grow into a better version of yourself. It’s so much easier to find the inspiration to transform physically when we are already transforming mentally. Of course, you can actually read the book as well if that's your preference. I like to have a book I’m reading and a book that I am listening to when I can’t actually read. There’s no right or wrong way to grow your mind. Find a book that gets you excited about life and excited about becoming a better version of yourself so that you can spend this month getting excited about changing in the New Year instead of spending the month feeling like there’s a fun timer set that runs out December 31st.
